June 6, 2005 - Weight 12.75oz. (0.80lb.).

July 18, 2005 - Weight 15.62oz. (0.98lb.).

October 17, 2005 - Weight 20.25oz. (1.27lb.).

January 9, 2005 - Weight 21.63oz. (1.35lb.).

May 16, 2006 - Weight 23.87oz. (1.49lb.).

August 28, 2006 - Discovered blood in urine over the weekend. Vet confirmed urinary tract infection. Put on Tribrissen 15mg/lb BID for 2 weeks. Weight 23.25oz. (1.45lb.). Cost of exam, urinalysis and meds $80.00.

September 25, 2006 - Still having issues with urinary tract infection. Switched to Baytril and Doxycycline combo. Cost of meds $27.00.

November 15, 2006 - Weight 21.75oz (1.36lb.).

July 27, 2007 - Both testicles are enlarged, and one has retracted into the abdomen. Took in for vet's thoughts on this. It was determined that a neuter is the best option if testicle does not descend on it's own in the next few days. Also noted is a tumor in one of the armpits. Hind limb weakness is worsening slightly. Cost of visit $20.00.

July 31, 2007 - Tumor removed. Testicle had descended, so will be watched for further issues. Cost of surgery and meds (Metacam & Baytril) $194.00.

October 5, 2007 - Weight 20oz. (1.25lb.).

October 9, 2007 - Ulcer and growth had formed around the Baytril injection from surgery. Had growth surgically removed. Cost of surgery and meds (Metacam & Baytril) $10.00. A HUGE thank you to Bay Valley Animal Hospital for their generosity with this case!

November 8, 2007 - Euthanized due to deteriorated condition with hind limbs. Necropsy performed. All tissues and organs were clear and healthy, except testicles. These were sent in for pathology to RADIL. For this, I owe a huge thank you to Bella! Cost of veterinary care $18.00. Pathology results are as follows: "Summary: Both testicles contain large coalescing aggregates of neoplastic cells consistent with interstitial cell adenomas. These tumors are commonly seen in older rats and are rarely malignant. Histopathology: Both testicles contain large multifolcal and coalescing aggregates of polyhedral cells. The cells are tightly packed and fairly uniform in size with round nuclei and prominent nucleoli. Some populations of these cells contain abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm, while other aggregates contain cells with vacuolated, pale, eosinophilic cytoplasm. Few mitotic figures are visible. Much of the normal architecture of the testicles has been replaced by the neoplastic populations. Occasional small areas of degenerate tubules surrounded by fibrous tissue are visible. The epididymis of both testicles contains large amounts of fibrosis. Multifocal large cystic areas containing either red blood cells or proteinaceous material are present throughout the tissue. Multifocal vessels around the periphery of the testicles contain large coalescing aggregates of lymphocyte infiltrates. Multifocal pigmented macrophages are present. Occasional areas of necrosis and cellular debris are visible throughout the mass."
