Blue Rex

Miko came to us from a rattery in southwestern Michigan. She was the silliest little thing, but so sweet and absolutely adorable from her curly little whiskers to her blue wavy locks to her precious pink toes! She was a ball of energy one second and a puddle of fluff in your lap the next. She was the best of both worlds in that respect. Not to say she didn't have a beautiful figure, but Miko was definitely an interesting shape. The typical eggplant, I guess. It was always worth a giggle or two at her expense! She took it all in stride and would always manage to give plenty of licks and kisses no matter what we said!
Miko loved to play and was the queen of cage destruction. She ate the carpet until is was bald, chewed hammocks and houses to bits, and toilet papered her own cage from top to bottom on a nightly basis! She kept us and the other rats on their toes! Whenever we'd here ruckus in the middle of the night, we always knew who was in charge.
Through her lifetime, Miko had one brother and three sisters. She loved every one of them and soon became the matriarch of the group. She was the smallest, but the bossiest, and it was clear she ran the show in a gentle manner. As Miko got older, her activities slowed down, and she became an instant snuggler. While the other rats were out racing around, she would climb up in our arms to kiss and be kissed and touched. Miko showed us in yet another way the unconditional love that rats can offer.
